Traveling to New York City

  • Passport and Visa Requirements: Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date. Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter the United States. Check with the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country for detailed information.
  • Flight Options: New York City is served by three major airports—John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Consider and BOOK NOW the best flight options based on your location and preferences.
  • Transportation from the Airport: Once you arrive, various transportation options are available to take you into the city. These include taxis, rideshare services, airport shuttles and public transportation like trains and buses. Choose the one that suits your budget and convenience – we recommend using Uber!
  • Public Transportation: New York City’s public transportation system is extensive and efficient. The subway and buses can take you almost anywhere in the city, and purchasing a MetroCard will save you time and money. Familiarize yourself with how to get from your hotel to Acne Academy – you can always easily hail a taxi or call a ride with Uber!
  • Currency Exchange: The currency used in the United States is the U.S. Dollar (USD). Plan to exchange your currency for USD before your trip or upon arrival. Banks, currency exchange offices and ATMs are readily available throughout the city – but most places will accept a credit card, too!
  • Safety and Security: New York City is generally safe for travelers, but it’s always wise to take precautions. Keep your valuables secure, be aware of your surroundings and avoid isolated or poorly lit areas, especially at night. Follow common-sense safety practices to ensure a worry-free visit!
